For Sale - 1993 Mercedes S124 220TE Estate (127,000 miles), located in Felixstowe.
I have covered nearly 10,000 miles in this car (mostly motorway) over the last 6 months and it is an absolute trooper.
There is a huge boot with 2 extra fold up seats which turn the car into a 7 seater. Unfortunately a new company car is forcing me to sell now I'm doing 20,000+ miles per year.
The car has an extensive wad of history to accompany it including the original pre-delivery inspection sheet. It has 10 months MOT with no advisories and needed two track rod ends for the last one. Items replaced worthy of note include new a whole new genuine MB fuel tank (£1ks worth!) a few years back. There are 2 year old matching Michelin tyres with a couple of thousand miles left in them.
The bodywork is pretty much grot free as W124s go. Even the front wings are not rotten! Arches and sills all clean with some minor scrapes, inner arches inspected and rust free. The paintwork is 21 years old with a few dints, touch ups, a few small areas of laquer peel and chips here and there but looks smart enough polished up! The private numberplate B3 RFG is included in the sale.
The car drives well, the autobox works perfectly with selectable economy and sport modes, the engine has plenty of life left in it with only 127,000 miles on the clock (look at the mileages of other 124s for sale!). Everything works as it should aside from the sunroof which has a broken lifter arm and one rear electric window.
The interior is clean and in good order (check cloth, un-cracked dash with zebrano wood trim) with original rubber and carpet mats and clean carpets. It took me ages to find a sensibly priced W124 that was't torn to pieces and covered in dog hair inside. The rear seat is split folding and folds flat and the factory load covers and cargo nets are still present and work a treat!
I need a quick sale so I am looking for £795 for the car. PM me if you'd like any more information or call on ZERO7873385298.
Cheers,
Charles
