Sadly, after 7 years of ownership, the time has come.
This thing is more than just a car to me, its a bucket load of memories, blood, sweat and tears. However the love has fizzled away and it's time to make my mark on something new.
The things done me proud, its taken me to Germany, round the Nurburgring (5 times), 2 both ends of the UK, my 1st date lol.gif , pretty much everything/everywhere. Past 2 years its not let me down once (apart from self conflicted issues) Still pulls well and nearly eveything works.
I'll quit with the emotional stuff now anyways..
Basics: it's a 1993 Genesis Coupe, Satin steel blue paintwork with orange accents, 133bhp bikecarbed AFH, MK1 golf coilovers, sick interior, many OEM goodies.
I'll start on the 1st thing's you see
Original colour (steel blue) with satin laquer (painted by myself in 2009)
Various Orange details (porsche GT3RS orange) Badges, sunroof wind deflector, carb caps, other things i cant remember.
Steel sliding sunroof
Boot is de-wipered and badged (properly welded up)
Bumpers are blackened, with colour coded stripe
Stone guards off a fox (smooth, no joint for bump strips)
Pressed plates and holders (keyed holders for easy removal, put show plates in etc)
Door handles are smooth/lockless, meant for a MK3 golf but modified to fit)
LHD rear light (all red, no white reverse light)
Passenger side fog light (drivers got broken), wires are there but isnt connected
Genesis & GT badging
Hella lamp grill
Bonrath air intake
All arches are rolled
BBS RA's 13x5,5 painted in Porsche colours, custom centercaps, Toyo tyres
Now for the stuff you don't see
G40 calipers, Brembo max discs, Hel braided hosese
Polyflex inner TCA bush, G-ladderseite Outer TCA busges
PPP ARB blocks & 'ged' brace bar
Custom made coilovers, using MK1 golf items, for all the lows (and apparently the spring rates are the same of a G40 cup car yo)

1.4 16v AFH
CBR600 bike carbs
custom stainless inlet
facet fuel pump
stainless 4 branch manifold (shortened)
2.5" stainless exhaust system
CEC gearbox (essentially an 8P)
133bhp fly/100bhp wheels (have RR printouts)
The place you spend all your time
Genesis interior (rear split bench)
Scirocco GT2 front seats (match Genesis interior)
Leather G40 steering wheel (rather rare, i challenge you to find one)
Leather gearknob (1,2,3,4,E) and leather gaitor
Electric Windows (dealer fitted, again rare, and again I challenge you to find some)
Remote central locking (aftermarket) although it did originally have central locking from dealer
Ciggy lighter, glovebox lid, proper winder blanks, dyed black doorcards, black carpets
Boot is fully carpeted out with house carpet/acoustic carpet, back of the seats are gloss black
Cupholder that i bodged in, that works however has a design fault/placement error (will only really hold a coke can/small costa cup)
Sound to your ears, apart from the BIKECARBSSS!
Remains of what was a decent sound system, got broken into and stolen earlier this year.
traveller made door speaker pods, with some cheap speakers in
Some speakers in the original dash pods
remains of a amp wiring kit & and a sub controller in glovebox
a cheapo sony headunit from my moms old punto
It has 120 something thousand miles, however i see mileage as irrelevant with a car like this, next to nothing is original so...
It has a short MOT, 9th Jan. It's never failed an MOT under my ownership, thats not to say it wont fail, chances are it'd be my luck this ones gonna fail.
It's well looked after though, so it should be fine. It will get an MOT if it's still in my ownership though, as I'm using it daily. Will update if so.
Issues, theres a fair few, i wont lie. I'll be honest as possible
The biggest, the gearbox... we think its the diff bearing but cant be certain, it makes a very odd noise. but bear in mind, its made this noise for 2 years and gotten no worse, ive done probably 6K miles with this noise. it drives fine, selects fine, everything else is fine.
Theres a big stonechip in the windscreen, it hasnt gotten worse in over a year, it passed its last mot with it, i have a spare in the garage anyway
passenger door glass isnt green tinted like the rest (replaced after break in)
also, paint chipped under passenger handle thanks to said break in
Stereo is temperamental, possible loose connection at ignition barrel. sometimes its fine, sometimes i have to jiggle the key around to get it to stay on, sometimes i give up and just listen to the induction noise
The exhaust knocks the heat shield, i got it to sit high due to being low but that clearly came with its disadvantages lol.
The bodywork is far from mint, after 5 years of use, other idiots and occasionally my own stupid errors. theres a dent in the boot, the roof/gutters are scratched (i drove under a height restriction with a bike on the roof lol) some jerk opened their door into the drivers side rear quarter, some jerk also scratched it in the same place, another jerk opened their door into my passenger door. ANOTHER jerk put a light scratch down the passenger side with something. A motherfliping bird shat out what can only be described as paint stripper onto my roof and, it caused a little bubble/loss of laquer.
I had a bump, front panel replaced.
I'm finding it impossible to price, i really have no idea.
I see cars on here that are fairly standard for 1.9K, then think mines levels above it, but i cant go asking like 3K, that's a joke.
So.... £1500
possible swaps/part exchanges for other things (a clio 172 would be perfect)
