Over the winter I am going to rebuild the front suspension on the Monza, One question I have is what paint should I use to repaint the coils after they have been in the blasting cabinet, I ask this as I assume that it has to be flexible.

Yeah I'd thought of powder coating, but trying to keep cost down and I'd like to do it all myself if I can, but if that's the best way, then powder coating it will have to be

I used plastikote on mine and they are holding up well.

I too, would think something a long the lines of plasticote. Rubberized paint should handle that fine, just give them a solid coating. Easy to touch up in any case.

any normal non-catalysed paint will be fine. i prefer POR-15 myself. painted straight onto a blasted finish, it will never come off.
powdercoat is the worst finish you could use, it will crack and flake off pretty quickly, as it never truly sticks to the underlying metal, its more of a 'shell' coating.

A mate's springs on his defender have been powder coated. About 4 years later they're still perfect.

Thanks for the replies, After doing a google for POR-15 it looks to be very similar stuff to RUST-OLEUM, and that stuff I can get from a local workshop supply shop so I think I'll give that a try.
