Below is the info I put on the waste of time e-bay advert.
Well where do I start. I am selling my much loved Retro Honda Civic. One of only around 10 left in this country I understand.
I have owned the car for just over three years and over this time spent a lot of time, money and effort to get it to almost where I wanted it to be!
For its age it is in great condition as the car has spent most of its life living in a garage.
The car was featured in "Retro Cars" mag back in December 2013 along with a four door pink civic. I have been to a good many shows over the years and it always gets much love. I have only done around 4,000 miles in three years in the car and it is on a genuine 50,000 miles!
Lets start off with the bad bits as there are not that many for an old motor!
Although the car looks mint in the pictures you will see I have put some close up pictures of the bad bits. The old boy who owned the car before had attempted some repairs on the n/s/r wheel arch, the wiper arm panel and on the roof at the n/s/r. I have left these as although the colour is not a great match, is shows the history of the car and it goes along well with the retro theme.
When you open the tailgate there is some rust above the n/s/r light which in the three years of ownership has not got any worse.
The car is on coil-over shockers and they are almost at there lowest setting, as such if you are carrying more than one other in the car and you corner hard the rear arches will catch the tyres. This is because I have not got around to rolling the rear arches. I have bought the tool to do it but as I only ever drive it steady with just me and on occasions the wife in the car it has never caused me issues. I will supply the arch roller to whoever wins the car if wanted. (Around £100 pounds worth of tool)
The cars drives fine but as you would expect with a 30 year old car it rattles and creaks.
Thats about all of the bad points I can think of!
Now on to the good bits.
The car is fitted with:-
Custom made GAZ fully adjustable coil-over shockers.
Four spoke Rota Zero wheels with stretched Bridgestone tyres.
New old stock Toyota wing mirrors.
I had a new Honda Timing belt fitted when I bought the car 3 years ago along with a good service. (It helps that I work at a Honda garage)
New Honda battery fit this year.
New front brake discs and pads fitted about a year ago.
Fuel tank had a slight leak so I removed it and had it reconditioned and sealed in April. (This will outlast the car)
I have fitted a Retrosound Radio which looks like the original but has a lead in to the glove box where you can connect USB and Auxl.
The car also has New old stock Jamo front speakers, Pioneer rear shelf speakers and an under seat Kenwood amp/sub.
The best bit about the car is it has NEVER let me down. I have never owned a car for so long which is down to the fact that it is always a pleasure to get in. The car starts every time, drives well, the gearbox is smooth through the gears. The gearbox is a Hondamatic. If you are not sure what that is let me explain. Its like an auto apart from you have three forward gears, low, drive and over drive which you select depending on what speed you are doing, without the need of a clutch! One last thing the car is actually very good on fuel for an old motor!

The reason for selling is that as my wife has put it, I am going through a mid life crisis and as such I am after a big american V8 motor!
I am not after a swap as I already have a motor sorted. If I could keep it I would but lack of space etc!
