My cars has no roof bar fixing points and the sets I have don't seem to fit, is it possible to fit roof bars if there are no fixing points?, would be handy for carting stuff! btw car is a Subaru Justy (suzuki swift shape) thanks in advance

You can get root bars that clamp to the roof edges, I would check with a Suburu dealer first as if they don't recommend it you could be in a whole heap of bother if you fit one and it works itself loose, you can buy inflatable ones where the strap loop through the interior to hold them in place.

How about something like this? Surely since it goes directly on the surface of the roof it would work on anything?

If you look at that R5 there is a clamping bar attached to the gutter.

If you look at that R5 there is a clamping bar attached to the gutter. The suckers are primarily what's holding it on, iirc there were many old-style ones like this with no clamping bar since they're not essential, just there additionally.

Hi, those are not suckers, they are boots for the feet of the rack to spread the load. Without the clamps the rack would slide off the back of the roof.
