Sierra rally car has been sold! It was used for the Knockhill rally school, basically punters would pay to thrash it around their rally track for a day so it certainly took a beating in its lifetime. I'm fairly sure that's the one I tried to thrash over the rally course. I say 'tried' because anytime I sowed signs of getting anywhere near sideways the 'instructor' hit the kill switch. Real buzzkill. |

It had had a hard life but it still went surprisingly well, I managed to get it sideways a few times when thrashing it around the yard.

They are the only bits I have left, As far as I know the rest is still in my old unit, the locks have been changed since my abrupt departure so I couldn't get it even if I wanted to... Thats a bit rough mate, even though i really believed that FSO was too far gone to be repaired i genuinely hoped that you could get it back on the road. DAMN GOOD EFFORT!! I take it there's no chance of ever getting it back?
I wouldn't mind seeing a few more photos of that Proton too, that looks pretty cool, i like the choice of wheels for it, i'd have never thought Slotmags would look good on it, but they seem to suit it well.

I really should update this more often, not that anyone pays much attention to it. The FSO is a lost cause for sure, we left our old unit of our own accord due to the bellend who was renting it to us, he was a complete knob and quite difficult to deal with, he's a total dreamer and created Obzolete.com which is a place where he tries to sell overpriced tat at absolutely ridiculous prices. Anyway back to the cars...  DSC_5176 by srblythe, on Flickr A couple of cars in the photo aren't mine - the Stanza and the E30, the new addition is the E28 which is an ongoing project.  E30 and E28 by srblythe, on Flickr The E28 needs an engine, gearbox, diff and fuel tank. An m20 2.5l engine and autobox is what I'm going for as the car was originally a 2.0l and it should be straight forward to fit. |

In other news the 305 was leaking fuel from the accelerator arm. The reek of diesel was coming into the car and was taking away any pleasure in driving  DSC_5125 by srblythe, on Flickr With the help of the manual (actually I just looked at the pictures) I had it sorted out in no time! Its funny how twenty years ago when 305s and Ladas were everywhere and dirt cheap to buy, nobody who was interested in cars would have gone near them. Now, however, I find myself thinking that there's bound to be a fair few 305s lying around in barns as all the farmer's and county folk loved them. Mind you most were used as comfy tractors and any that are left will stink of hay, meal and damp sheep. Keep up the good work.
