I also got this around the same time as the fso, I swapped my Carlton estate for it with Overdrive. v6 Toyota Camry 1995 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_4295 by srblythe, on Flickr There are currently no plans for it, I'm just going to leave it as it is.

I bought this because it was cheap (£160) and still has some test left on it, it had a blown turbo from running a bar of boost, I bought a turbo for £50 and had it fitted by a local garage for £100. It now runs fine but has some cold starting issues and other small things to deal with. It seems to return great mpg so has been used mainly for long journeys, I've stopped using it for work because of the long noisy start ups in the morning are bound to be driving the neighbors crazy... Back to the FSO, I needed it to move freely so had the brakes freed by removing the brake pads, it has discs all round so made it quite easy to free the brakes. My main car is the Proton DSC_1976 by srblythe, on Flickr And Mrs Foad drives the 360 The Proton cost me £100 and has been great, It's been super reliable and although it feels basic just about everything works compared to the 306 sedan. Here's a photochop of how I'd like it to look CSC_3067 by srblythe, on Flickr here's how it actually looks Proton saga mpi gls 12v by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_3240 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_3366 by srblythe, on Flickr It's quite sad but it's actually one of the best cars I've had, It definitely has potential as a cool retro motor, think how dated it looks compared to the Camry and 306 which are also N reg cars.

A fantastic mix of motors there, being a truck guy I'm very interested to see if that FSO can be saved, looks like it's in a pretty bad way but we've seen worse brought back to life here on RR's Those proton's are indeed very underrated cars, my old neighbor toured their factory back in the days when this car would have been made and at that time they freely admitted they took Japanese parts and copied and in most cases improved upon them so it's a solid machine to have.

I hope you can save the FSO I have a soft spot for them, I owned a blue 1300 saloon, loved that car. You have a great collection of cars, I'm loving the Saab as well being a Saab 900 owner myself. Goodluck with the FSO.

Hopefully there will be some more Fso updates today. I'm planning on spending most of the day on it while I wait for the Saab being delivered.

Cut some more rust out of the fso... fso 125p pickup under the load bed by srblythe, on Flickr It doesn't seem too bad, the wheel well is getting cut out next but the metal between the struts is fine, it managed to take my weight without breaking. The Saab came too The worlds shittest jump leads by srblythe, on Flickr Twin carbs by srblythe, on Flickr Saab 99 Renault 18 by srblythe, on Flickr 1976 Saab 99 gl Automatic by srblythe, on Flickr It starts and drives ok, The battery light comes on, I'll run a multimeter on it today to see what the issue is, the lights and indicators work but nothing else seems to work, the heaters, radio and wipers don't do anything. The back box is hanging off. Should be fairly straight forward!

I haven't seen an FSO pickup for donkey's years. As a teenager always wanted one in yellow with side pipes and Wolfrace Slots. Best of luck you have some work ahead of you there. Think I recognise that 99 from UK Saabs. Good to see another one should hopefully be back on the road soon.
