Up for sale is my 1977 Triumph Dolomite, ive come to realise i have too many cars and not enough time to work on or drive them all so unfortunatly this is up for sale or i will never finish my mini! My plan was to fit a mx5 engine but ive got too many projects to give it the love it deserves.
Its currently MOT'ed taxed and insured and getting used occasionally so ideal rolling project. Mot till around mid January.
I have only had it around 2 weeks but the log book has arrived.
The previous owner spent many hours and over £1500 on bits on this car and it is structually absoloutely solid, he carried out extensive welding work which has been carried out to a good standard so no worries there, engine was reconditioned and is a very low mileage engine. He has rebuilt the brakes and bassically had the car to bits and put it back together again haha.
Unfortuntatly he had a small incident on the front right corner which should hammer out okay and a abit of filler should make it look very presentable with a lick of paint
The interior is in fantastic condition and is a really nice place to be, seems extremely posh for the age of the vehicle!
Couple of little issues it runs a little rough when cold but warms up quickly and runs absoloutely beautifully, you can still drive it when its cold though. The brake pedal is a little soft which is apparently the brake servo but the brakes do work fine, it just occasionally has varying pedal pressure required (ie can be softer than usual but nothing to worry about as they do work). There is a missing wheel stud on the rear. It did when i first got it have a sticky starter motor (sometimes took 2 turns for starter to engage but it always starts fine, this seems to have fixed its self with more continual use).
Theres a few custom touches on the car such as MK1 escort rear lights, smoothed fuel filler cap, custom number plate light in bootlid etc.
And a quick video
Will swap or part ex for a diesel 4x4 (ideally Land Rover)
Thanks Jack
