For sale is my Escort. Its been much loved over the last few years after being saved from the scrappy! It's 99% original and has an almost full service history from the local Ford dealership. Mechanically it's perfect and has no faults except for the need of a new temperature sensor (£5 off eBay and a 1-minute job). I've serviced it on a regular basis and it always starts without fuss. It's a 5-speed, manual choke (carb), non-leaking sunroof model which drives perfectly and the engine sounds healthy. It's incredibly good on fuel and a fantastic daily commute or first car being extremely cheap to run. The only bad bits are the current lack of radio (I have the original to fit) and the paint isn't the best but it doesn't look bad. The rear arches have scabs in places (they have been treated with Waxoyl) and someone has previously caught the NSF in a car park so its got a minor scrape. Underneath it's totally solid. It's standard except for the 15" Escort GTi wheels. When I originally bought it (2013) I took it straight for MOT and it passed with no advisories! MOT: July Mileage: 90000ish I'd like £450 with the GTi wheels or £350 with the original steels (they all have good tyres). O797IO89I98

Just trying to help here. You put this up for sale a year and a half ago, maybe write a fresh and up to date (new and seperate) advert with some new photos (give it a wash ). A car can change a lot in that time frame, even when laid up, might be putting people off.

Condition hasn't changed at all if I'm honest. I drove it the other day after charging the battery, it fired straight up.

Price drop. £450 on alloys, £350 steels. Couple months MOT left, will go through fine.
