Hi guys, i'm completely fed up with ebay and the timewasters that are on the there, so here's my car, up for sale, quickest here gets it, simple as that.
And it is £400, i will never take a penny less than this and know this car will appreciate in the right hands.
Ok, the important info:
I've owned this car nearly 3 years, and it has never, ever, let me down, i'm the second owner.
For a car that is 30 years old, it drives superbly, i've maintained it with little cost to myself.
It is the last "B" registration saloon in the uk, according to howmanyleft.
It is in excellent mechanical order, engine, clutch, etc are exactly as they should be, all electrics, etc are fine too, the car drives perfectly.
It still only has 73k on it, i got it with 38k.
MOT runs until September 19th, 2015.
All 4 tyres are in good order, i ony changed the front pair at the start of this year, the spare is in good order.
Sony Bluetooth Stereo is included in the sale.
As for cosmetics, well, it's 30 years old! It's picked up it's fair share of bruises of the years, having said that, rust is minimal in my humble opinion, it spent most of it's life in Wales, with service history to back that up. The underside is corrosion-free, in fact in quite remarkable condition. The sills let it down slightly, although i had one repaired professionally for it's last mot. It didn't fail it's mot the 2nd last time, and in September only needed the sill and exhaust welded. Advisories for next year are only the 2 rear wheel bearings, which only need tightening and are not an issue at present.
The bonnet is black, i am not a boy racer or anything like it, the reason for this being done, was the original colour had lacquer peeling, which was in danger of causing rust to appear, so i pre-empted this and the cheapest option was this one, it's held up well enough, albeit not brilliant by any means (looks nice when wet though)
The interior, at least the front seats/area is in good condition, the rear not so good, it has marks/scratches/oil from carrying our bicycles on trips, nobody has ever been in the back of the car!!
No power steering, never been an issue, my new car doesn't have it either.
Central locking, all works perfectly...oh, and a rev counter! 5-speed manual, with choke, which i prefer.
The boot can get damp in heavy rain, i've tried to remedy this but can't find where it leaks, so have taken the gromits out from the spare tyre well, and never keep things like clothing or bags in there, it's not clean either to be honest!
Going steady, you can get 200 miles for £30 in my experience.
Lastly, somebody tried to steal it, i didn't bother informing insurance and fixed it all myself, i can't find another cover for the underside of the steering column, so have left it as-is, you don't notice it when you're driving anyways.
I love this car but things happening in life mean i needed a hatchback car, so bought a Nissan Sunny!
I'm 100% confident that this car will remain a faithful servant to it's next owner.
I welcome any AA or RAC Inspection on this car, as they will confirm the above to be true.link
