Don't know of their impact wrenches but I am not a fan of Clarke stuff having taken back 3 angle grinders that would not stay switched on, viabration kept doing it, drills that don't last and yesterday taking back a 'dremel' type tool that the grinding/sanding tool shafts bent like butter and the motor burning out in about 30 minutes.

Thanks for that. The reviews on Clarkes site could be their own staff writing it up, if not it seems good. But I always prefer to hear from people like on here who potentially used the tool before.

My dad has one of those, after spending ages bouncing off a massive breaker bar trying to undo the 46mm rear wheel nut on my motorbike I borrowed it from him. Wound the nut off no bother and it seems like a nice piece of kit, heavy, he has had it a couple of years and not broken yet.

I've got one. It's pretty big and heavy, but for the money it's fantastic. Haven't found anything it can't undo yet.

I have one of these and I really rate it down side is that its heavy and you need to drag a extension lead out every time so I bought the 24v Clarke one but its a P.O.S the best use on the car that ive found for it is as a wheel chock.

Thanks guys. Sounds like the right thing for the money to me. Extension cord and size are not a problem yet. Now just need to find out if Machine Mart has a VAT Free day this Sunday.

I bought one with the only negative being that it has no speed control! That means full torque straight away which could damage some fasterners. For the price, its decent value for money although a nice Snapon would be my first choice if money was no issue!
