Nice fix, scary stuff when you think how many MOT exempt cars are now on the road with potentially dangerous issues, always good to get a second pair of eyes isn’t it. That's the thing that confuses me about Queensland. In the other states, you have to go get your blue slip once a year (or at least, I think all the other states). But up here in the nanny state, once you've got your roadworthy, as long as you keep the car registered, no more safety checks! It's pretty easy as it is to get a phoneworthy, but there's nothing stopping you from letting a car deteriorate in to an unsafe mess and then failing to stop, etc. It's the only thing that's not monitored with a heavy hand. Oh, but your insurance won't cover you if they find out you haven't maintained your car! I'd be surprised if someone with a car in that state HAD insurance! the great thing about the UK is that after you get a driving ban, the only consequence of driving with a ban is more driving ban

Very artful way of showing you found a ditch. Hope the truck is ok and no one was injured.

That was a good long read. Dead sexy flatbead chap. That's up there in dream vehicle status for a bloke of my very limited capabilities.

Dover Glass will cut you a bit of flat laminated glass no bother.

Yes and probably at a very reasonable price, they did my door glass (that I cracked putting it in) the reason I’ve been putting it off is it means trying to get the rusty 90 year old frame apart and I can’t imagine that’s going to be easy

Ah, yes. Having fought with a recalcitrant windscreen frame/mechanism on a 1937 Ford Y, I can absolutely understand your reluctance. New glass will make a huge difference though.

I kind of like that it has a crack in it..
Can't buff it up a bit?
