Additional Information:
VW Scirocco 1.8 8v GT2 (1992)
12 Months MOT (No advisories!)
145K miles (Increases daily as I use the car to commute)
4 Owners
Substantial amounts of history, receipts ect
Flash Red
Electric Windows
Tilt sunroof (No Leaks!)
Central locking
Electric Ariel
Immobiliser
Clear indicators (Pretty sought after!)
Corrado Steering Wheel (Slightly smaller and more comfortable than the orginal)
Weber 32/34 DTML Carb + Manual choke (Popular upgrade from the original Pierburg carb)
New fuel tank
Rear axle bushes (Replaced at same time as fuel tank)
BBS Alloys (RA’s possibly?) with locking wheel nuts (Not the best condition, but perfectly usable!)
OMP Lower strut brace (The handling transformation is pretty mind blowing with this!)
40mm lower front suspension (Done to level out the car as it sat fairly nose high before, barely noticeable if I'm honest!)
10mm spacing at the rear wheels (Helps to fill the arches and again help match the front)
2 oil changes in last 18 months
Stereo: Alpine speakers, Phillips head unit (USB, CD, Radio), JL Audio subwoofer, Clarion amp (I understand this isn’t to everyone’s taste, so can be removed if necessary!)
Seats in very good condition (I think they must’ve had covers on them for the majority of their life)
Very subtle LED ‘mood lighting’ in the foot wells (Again not to everyone’s taste so can be removed!)
LED strip light in the boot (To make the boot actually visible in the dark unlike the standard one!)
Mid 30’s mpg
K&N air filter
Roof Rack
VW Floor mats
Mud flaps
Overall it is an incredibly good car for its age, the paint work is brilliant (Aside from very slight fading on the passenger door, only noticeable when up close to it) there is little to no rust to speak of, the only bit I can see is a 5p length strip on the lip of the boot. It is however a 22 year old car so it’s not 100% perfect, but does get a lot of comments on how good the paint/ bodywork is on it.
The engine runs excellently and is very good on fuel, it has been incredibly reliable and has taken me between Derby and Glasgow multiple times all in one go without giving even a hint of being unhappy!
I have spent a pretty substantial amount of time and money on this car and I genuinely will be sad to see it go, however finances dictate it must go.
The car is located in Glasgow and viewings are actively encouraged, test drives will be permitted if proof of valid insurance is shown, however I will be quite happy to do the driving if not. I can deliver the car as far south as Derby for an additional £100 (To cover the fuel to drive down and a train ticket back up!) however the full price would need to be paid beforehand as it is a hell of a trek to then get messed around!
If you have any questions or require more photographs do not hesitate to ask!
Cheers
Chris
