Time to move on the Jaguar now ive got myself a BMW Touring. 1996 xj6 sport 3.2 straight 6 Auto (x300 model)  Mot till august 2015 Tax December 2014 108k It,s a reliable car starts on the button. Gearbox goes up and down as it should. All the electrics work windows/sunroof/ect. All the dash lights go out as they should. The body work isnt great n/s/r arch has some bubbles as has the sunroof the rest of the car has scratches and dings. No service history it was lost by the preivious owner but claims it was very large and quite comprehensive! Was recorded Catc in 2002. Only one key ,the fob will lock the car but not unlock! you have to use the key to unlock the car. Over all a car that be used until the mot runs out and sell in on to the banger boys for there fun Thanks Chris        |

Just a little bit more info.
I use the car evreyday inc school runs and work and my ave mpg 23.2
So a 25/6 mpg is obtainable on a run.
Ive once! taken the car beyound the 70mph speed limit on a private test track and performed well at135mph for some distance without any problems.
The brakes have a slight judder under hard braking
All the tyre are very legal as is the spare which is also the sort after 20 spoke alloys.
No chips in any of the windows or cracks.
Auto box is good no leaks or whines
Engine is bone dry outside no leaks.
All the relays fuses earth straps have been removed cleaned and reinstalled with a coat of dielectric grease.
all the wood trim is good and clean
The interior is all good.
The doors unlock and relock and the alarm works a treat!!
Alloys are ok and straight
Suspension is good smooth and firm
Throw and offer at me
Open to swaps/px up or down with cash your way or mine

My thoughts when i bought it !you can run it for nothing spend no money on it.or as much as you like. Super Bangernomics!! Iam now in a better place money wise, and have a few bob to upgrade or i would have kept (and still may)till spring and took any offer that came my way. Not to say however it might pass another motwithout to much hassle and keep going for another 18 years  Cheers Any offers welcome. Chris |

Can't beat bangernomics. Time it right, get the luck and you can drive a £50k car for MK1 Mondeo money if all your driving is local. Mŷ brother in law drives old jags like this and he's had 5 years from one I sold him after I had 2 years from it. Just MOT costs and yearly oil changes after I paid £700 for it in 2007.

Just the way it should be these old straight 6 jags are pretty bomb proof, the later v8 3.2 had all sorts of timing chain tensioner problem.
Plus the go juice is now below 1.20p pl not that i use that rubbish from the main stream outlets , shell super plus niro + super fuel is what i use.
