Bought a few months ago when I was in need of a cheap daily, it has performed that task brilliantly but now I don't need a daily anymore as I have a work van and fancy something a bit more "me" so gonna pass this back on to one of you lucky people!
Car in general is a bit untidy but solid where it counts, rear arches are rusty as they all seem to go eventually and rust showing on front arches/wings all of which have been sprayed over with a slightly wrong shade of white along with various other places on the car.....previous owner seems to have been not very good at diy! In prep for the Gathering I spruced it up a little by painting the grill surround black, painting the standard wheels a bluey/purpley colour & centrecaps black and using up some remains of flyeyes on the headlamps....flyeyes needs redoing and some of the black paint also as was done in a rush.
Interior is ok but not the tidiest going, fag lighter socket is hanging out of the dash and various marks left by previous owner using bluetack everywhere.
Motor is a bit rattly but never fails to get you where you are going, starts first time everytime and uses very little oil or water doing so. Gearbox is quiet and rattle-free. I have most of its previous service history to back up its 130odd thousand miles showing on the speedo.
To lower the car I chopped 2+1/2 coils out of the front and 3 coils out of the rear, the ride is a bit bouncy but not spine-shattering by any means.
All four tyres are various makes but all with good tread, rears have been fitted with 5mm wheel spacers to bring track out to match the front(as standard the rear is a narrower track and looks silly from certain angles)
Tailpipe is a random piece of stainless pipe welded to original silencer so still quiet...its just for dat OMGSCENE look
In the time I've had the car its had a new clutch fitted and just yesterday a new battery as a recent cold snap killed the cheapy previous one, MOT is due in January and as far as I can see it will only need a pair of inner cv boots fitted to pass as both are split(spotted them whilst changing clutch but was unable to attend to them at the time)
Price is £350 to take it away, would also be interested in a swap for a Vauxhall Tigra with some cash from me
Any Q's please ask and I shall reply asap
Cheers
Steve
