Halfway down the auction page on the right is a "report item" button (next to the "print" button) then...
In the Report category, put "prohibited and restricted items". In the Reason for report, put "Illegal items and items encouraging illegal activity" In the Detailed reason, put "Other illegal activity concerns"

Waste of time reporting them to eBay, they're just not interested as they deem them saleable as memorabilia!
Better off reporting them to DVLA with as much evidence as possible if the reg is clearly visible & they will put a marker against the reg & if anyone tries to register/tax it, they will investigate & take action.

Agreed. Then the DVLA can contact eBay themselves and probably cause more of an impact on the issue in general.

They are powerless when it comes to eBay which is frustrating. eBay will argue stating that they're sold as memorabilia even though some of them are blatantly ringing kits!

With the DVLA as they are do you seriously expect them to look at any other the things reported to them before they have finished on ebay and the pictures have gone? In fact I would be amazed if there is any computer access to auction websites from within what is essentially a government network. I know for a fact there didn't used to be and even a network admin couldn't swing it + I don't think using TOR etc to bypass restrictions would make them very popular......

eBay DO remove logbooks, only when the listing are questionable such as including 'rusty shell' do they fall down.
I see several logbook and VIN listings a week and most are removed after reporting.
You can also e-mail the eBay links to ACPO AVCIS via Vehicle Fraud (intel@avcis.pnn.police.uk)
They are pretty proactive about following up successful V5C/VIN plate sales if they slip through the eBay report facility.

My worry is the old kit cars like Jago's, Dutton's etc that get broken and the ID's used to bypass the IVA. I never knew so many Dutton's had been 'trackday' cars but it now seems we can find at least two new ones each week that get put up for sale with no V5C, plates or VIN tag. The DVLA do have ebay access, well at least the investigation department do as they have contacted us a couple of times asking questions about vehicles.

Hi, new member, decided to sign up and post because this kind of thing really gets to me!
I found this on eBay recently: 121478159091
Unfortunately, despite me reporting it, it still seems to have sold, for quite a high amount....
I have also emailed to the above link, perhaps if a few of us do, then we can intercept the fraudulent use of a probably long dead Escort Mexicos ID on some moody replica or someone else's stolen mk1.

Hi, he has gone to pains to cover the full reg No. at the top of the log book, but doesn't realise it's repeated at the bottom. So if you see OCA 49M for sale you know its provenance!!

Colin Well observed, I didn't even spot that! Will be interesting to see when OCA 49M is next taxed, if there's a car sitting somewhere waiting for an ID, then it wont be long... Alex

I reported a logbook directly to DVLA via email earlier in the year & they stated that a marker would be placed against the car if anyone attempted to register it & they would investigate. Nothing of the car survived apart from the paperwork & a section of dashboard! DVLA will put markers in place & investigate if there is enough evidence such as a visible registration number, take screen grabs & attach them in an email, give them links to sites such as ebay auctions & they will take action to ensure the logbooks are worthless if they are used on a car

Not in my experience. I've reported some listings several days running & they've been allowed to run their course. I have also attempted to contact AVCIS in the past & had no luck with them either. I know Landywatch have had successful dealings with them in the past but they can be very hit & miss with responding/acknowledging.

Hi, "MGB number plate ( PKX 300H )and logbook" above has gone.
I have put the reg number in because anyone searching the reg number may come to this thread, otherwise they won't know what has gone before on there possible purchase. thoughts?
