It is with a heavy heart that I am doing this but I feel it is the right time to put my Caddy up for sale. I've not had it long but within the last couple of weeks it has become my daily driver and it is far too nice for my daily commute. It involves a fair bit of motorway and some really rough roads and I'm a bit too precious about the truck to be happy about using it every day.
It has various modifications, most of which were done when I purchased it, including:
Early Westmoreland front end
1.6 TD engine conversion with FMIC and custom pipework
Coilovers up front, flipped axle rear (still takes a decent load in the bed)
BMW BBS style 15x7s with 175 (Kumho) and 165 (Bridgestone) tyres, all with good tread
Golf GTI seats
MOMO steering wheel
Decent Sony stereo with door speakers and 6x9s behind seats
Interesting playing card effect on dash and doorcards
According to the previous owner the truck was painted black early in its life. This must have been a full strip down respray because it is the same colour everywhere, and polishes up very well. The bodywork isn't perfect but it is by far the best on any car I've ever owned and is good enough to make me worry about using it!
New starter motor, rebuilt fuel pump with new throttle shaft and all seals etc replaced. The pump now needs a bit of tweaking to set idle speed, but this is simple enough if you know what screws to turn and by how much.
More pics to follow when I can take them in the light.
MOT until April, 128,893 miles
Couple more photos
