Hi All,
My Dad has decided to dig his old Splitty out of hibernation for the summer. It's generally in good condition but the weather has got to the bottom of the front panel behind the bumper so it needs repairing.
Has anyone seen any info floating around on the web about repairing the ends of the front chassis sections, where the bumper mounts to? Also the smaller box section between those two where the steering box etc. mounts as that needs some attention too?
We're going to make a trip to Alan Schofield for some new panels and parts soon but the chassis legs aren't bad at all and only need minor repair which we can hopefully do ourselves with the trusty welder and some steel.
Any pics or info on these kind of repairs much appreciated - I will reward you with pics of said vehicle during restoration when I have some!
Also - does anyone have a spot welder I can borrow?
Cheers
Stu
