1987 FORD CAPRI 2.8 V6 INJECTION SPECIAL
finished in dark silver
moted till 22nd of October 2015 with no advisorys

she has covered a genuine 81,381 miles from new
2 previous owners
there mots from October 1991 to January 1999
this is when it was taken off the road and stored this is when the last tax disc ran out too
I bought the car recently and brought her back to life
there is a folder of receipts and on the folder the first owner wrote down all the service intervals along with what was done and what make of oil,plugs etc
there is the old style log book along with the new one
there is the ford service book with some stamps in there too
back to the car
as you can see by the pictures she is in very good condition for her age
outside-
the paint is very good but bear in mind she is 27 years old so there might be the odd mark but there is no rust on the out side or underneath that's the main thing
over the years she has had welding done and looks to be to a good standard
I fitted a new sticker kit along with new front and rear bumpers (hence the missing over riders) and new ford badges front and rear and ones for the internal side steps too
all the panels are nice and straight again all are rust free
under the bonnet is clean
there is some clear stickers under the spoiler to stop it rubbing on the paint these stick a little further up than the spoiler
the headlamp bezzels were replaced and painted in satin black along with the front grill and wing mirrors
the headlamps are nice and bright and the backing plates were sanded back and painted silver
the alloys (x5) are in good condition and have the key for the center caps I bought new badges for the inserts too
all the lights work inside and out
the engine pulls like a train
she starts first turn of the key
the auto choke works as it should
the engine was flushed and new 20/50 comma classic oil was used along with a new oil filter
the tappets could do with being re-set
fitted with the five speed type 9 v6 gearbox which pulls through all the gears as it should with no whines
she is fitted with her original limited slip diff(lsd)axle again sounds very well with no whines or funny noises
she has single leaf springs and ive fitted a pair of new rear shocks
there is a axle location kit fitted I don't really like them but its each to there own and only bolted on so easily removed
some new brake lines were fitted along with drilled and grooved front discs and new rear wheel cylinders
inside is very clean there is a little tear to the drivers bolster its about 5mm long but as you can see by the pictures the interior is very very good
the passenger side seat base could do with a wet and dry
the sunroof tilts but ive not tried to slide it back there is two or three small scratches on the panel
the carpets are clean along with the boot carpet
the parcel shelf is missing but I may have one somewhere
the boot floor is very clean
the dash has a crack on the top where the speakers holes are
she has her original stereo fitted that works the button has come of you can see it in front of the clock
the heater did work but has since thrown a wobberly fit me personally I would fit a new motor rather than messing with it
the leather wrapped steering wheel is good
the leather gear knob has some where to it
the roof lining is good
all the gauges work apart from the fuel gauge ive tested the gauge and that works but I think the sender has seen better days but I'm sure I have another sender somewhere ill have a look and update if I find it
all the lights on the dash work including the clock and the interior lights
she has rear seatbelts these still have the black plastic trim on them
one key fits all locks there is a spare key too
she was fitted with an old style alarm this is no longer connected
so to sum up she is a very very nice 2.8 special with low miles and a good history with her and a full mot with no advisorys
