This car has had 2 owners since new. The previous owner garaged it until he passed away, had bought the car when it was 6 months old. I’ve then bought the car in October 2012 with 61K on the clock and added 9K to the mileage with no issues at all - it's no exaggeration to say it has never let me down and starts on the button every day (no overheating, no leaks - nothing!) I used it mostly on longer journeys, as it's really comfortable and happy cruising for miles on motorways - returning around 35mpg. The gearbox and steering is sweet too and the bodywork is very straight. The interior's is pretty good for a 23 year old car, with the original plastic sheeting still on the doors. It has a curious mix of luxury and austerity - electric sunroof, power steering, central locking and boot lock combined with wind up windows and a carb fed engine.
It does have several minor faults, the interior light and radio is not working but for a car of this age it has had very little in terms of dings and scrapes - a testament of the previous owner. The lower rear arches and front valance have minor rust blisters and the tailgate would benefit from a respray as it's a bit matted. I have recently replaced the front tyres, and it's had rear brake lines replaced and steering gaiter and CV boot replaced for its MOT.
These versions seem rare, I’ve not come across any other estates while I’ve owned it. It has 6 months MOT, and 2 months tax and is ready to roll. The PCD is 4x100, so there’s lots of potential for alloys and would look superb with some lowering. I really don't want it to be exported as it has plenty of life in it yet.
The car is located near Wallingford, in between Reading and Oxford. I’m selling the car because I simply have too many cars at the moment. I'm looking for around £900 for it.
