Allo, chaps! I've been Renaulting! Went out with the Renault Car Club for an economy run on the weekend. This was along for the fun. It's a 750 with a 1.6L engine out of a 16TS crammed in the back. The owner says it's "somewhat modified". For scale, those are 15" wheels. And yes, those are suicide fronts. Cool, no?

That's very cool! I like the reg plate too!
Personally, I'd have left off the mudflaps (but then again, I guess it does protect the paint) and I'm never keen on 10-spoke Superlites. I'd happily drive it as it is though.

Thats very cool, would be off the scale with wide original style wheels and some more stick though.

That's super-dooper! I was just thinking yesterday that you don't often see these given any treatment when one cropped up in a show report. Could make an awesome Cal-look.

Were these called a 750 down there then? We got the French name when we got them (4CV). A chap local to me used to have IIRC 2 of these and a Dauphene. At least one had a Gordini lump and one was getting a Clio 1.8 16V conversion. Lost touch with the guy.

The ones built in Acton were called 750s (later 760s) but IIRC the french made ones were called 4CVs.
