I'm offering the jag up for sale, I'm not really sure why! I've made a few quid recently and have been looking for a silver shadow, when I spoke to the Mrs she said 'well you're going to sell the jag right?' Errrrrr
It's cheap, prices on these have gone up far too much recently and I've seen non runners with no tax/ test for £1500 on eBay. This is my fourth and is by far the most useable! I wanted a very specific spec when I bought it a few months back and I had to compromise on the colour! It's a 4.2. Why? Because it has much better mpg than the 3.6, I know I've been there!! It had to be a series 3 for me as well, they just do it for me! The underneath is solid, I've made that mistake before! That said the paintwork is tatty, seemingly nobody can colour match yellow but they have tried! Rust around rear screen but it's not a killer by a long way! Both screen seals could do with replacing but they don't leak, just look a bit tatty. Both front and rear screens are scratched but never bothered me!
It's not got long left on the mot. I will not be selling it without an mot I will be doing the bits it needs and most likely keeping it.
I will be clear as day with what it needs.
Front balljoints near side for sure but you'd be crazy to not replace all of them.
Hazard light switch. I know it's the switch, I removed the last one!
Washer jet pump.
Exhaust 'gasket' (it's more a metal ring)
Potentially a rear shock.
What it needs that isn't an mot issue.
Oil pressure sender (common fault apparently)
Fuel gauge on n/s tank doesn't work
Passengers head rest needs re-plumping
Paint
I have a classic policy on it, it's a 3rd car and I use it once a week. The year cost me £125!!
It's a tank and I take it to work every so often and it chews the mileage so easily! Some of you may have seen it at retro rides gathering that was about 3.5 hours each way and it was just the best car to have taken, yeah, it might not be slammed to the ground and 'baller' but I'm dam sure I had a comfier trip than most!!
It's awesome, the series 3 is the best car in the world to me and I'm proud to be British evey time I get inside it but I fancy a change ( for the moment)
I won't be taking crappy offers on this and in fairness I don't expect it to sell. I would assume I will mot it and garage it over winter. Parts prices are so cheap for these it wouldn't exactly be a strain.
If you're interested message me, come over for a chat, see it in the flesh. I can get more pics and will on request.
Thanks for reading now give me all your money!
