here for sale is my very rare 1995 rolling stones edition mk3 VW Golf these were a 1 year only special edition made by VW in 1995 to celebrate the great rolling stones this one has been fitted with a with 1.8 20 valve turbo engine conversion from a mk4 Golf GTI and is an awesome combination.
the car has 220 bhp with the aid of a remap and with help from the subtle mods fitted to gain there full potential and really throw you down the road.
The engine conversion exhaust suspension and brake upgrade was done in 2000 by TSR performance in Bridgewater, Somerset at a cost of over 10 thousand pounds !!!
this car also has the mk4 golf 02j gearbox fitted to make it easier to source a new one should one be required in the future so no hard to find mk3 gearbox problems.
the conversion involved using the very low mileage engine gearbox clocks and ecu from a less than 2 year old VW Golf mk4 GTI turbo even now the clocks are on 96 thousand miles some 14 years later and believe me this car really moves along .
there is a stack of paperwork and history ( only a fraction in picture ) documenting the engine conversion including the registration number and chassis number of the donor car to help ordering parts easier for the future ( genius )
this car has mot till MAY next year and tax till 31st of October this year so you can jump in it and drive home listening to the turbo chattering away ( amazing sound ) and upsetting unsuspecting more powerful cars, Focus ST's, Astra VXR's and the like.
the car has fully adjustable Koni Coilovers on so you can soften it up if ride feels to firm ( handles like a go kart tho ) so you get best of both worlds .
it has a full Stainless Steel Jetex exhaust system nice sounding and not loud so wont get the dreaded drone driving down the motorways at more than the law allows lol .
it has a GTI bodykit and aftermarket wolfrace shark 17 inch black and chrome deep dish alloy wheels .
has a standard GTI boot spoiler so none of this silly huge big wings.
NOTE i'm not currently insured on car as I can't afford to run two cars anymore thanks to losing my No Claims Bonus.... and need the money so I can move out of my parents
make no mistake this is a quick car so no test pilots and i will want to see proof of your insurance cover before you drive it or until its paid for.
bad bits unfortunately all cars have them:
Roof lining was hanging down so this has been removed and replaced without the hanging fabric.
it has noisy rear wheel bearing.
also has couple of rust bubbles on door on passenger side.
