1993 'L' Eunos Roadster 1.8 S Special - A/C (needs charging, I always just chucked the roof down!) with original Nardi Steering wheel, gear knob and also the original front lip spoiler and alloy teardrop speaker covers.
No MOT and currently SORNed (passed MOT in June 13 with no advisories and hasn't been retested this year). Has done 6 miles since MOT! 142,000kms in total now (about 89k miles)
17" 5 spoke wheels with decent tyres, and also a set of 14" 1.6 MK2 wheels (knackered tyres) and anything else I can find in my shed.
I have owned this since 2010, and just had it as a weekend tinkering fun car (I think it had done about 137,000kms when I bought it!). I am moving house now, and don't have the time to get back on the road (or a sensible cost of transporting it), so need to sell and reinvest the cash at a later date.
It has no MOT but passed last year with no advisories. In the interim period I have replaced the O/S lower rear quarter panel and sill, but the passenger side needs doing (no hole, but it's full of filler if the other side was anything to go by). I also had the front wings off, cleaned and treated the small amount of surface rust there was and hammerited the inner wings (I also have a spare drivers side wing, which is solid but needs paint) Other than the passenger sill (which is solid, just full of filler and has never been commented on at MOT time) it is a solid car, runs well (although battery is FUBAR it jumps and runs). The only other things I can fault it on is that the lights don't pop up when turning the headlights on at the stalk (the button on the dash does work). From looking on the net, it appears to just be a faulty relay. Also there is a crack on the passenger side of the windscreen which has been there the entire time I have owned the car and it has never got any bigger, and being passenger side doesn't affect the MOT. It needs the wheel arch liners, boot carpet and headlamp surrounds refitting but these are all included.
It was imported in 1999, and I have quite a lot of old receipts and stuff with it. It has a cat2 immobiliser (and the installation certificate), but only one fob, and only one key (easy to get another cut, I just have never got around to it!). I have also put a MK2 roof (in reasonable condition, just the usual cracking on the outer seams) on it with the glass rear screen. The HRW isn't connected, but I do have the loom somewhere in my shed. I also replaced all the carpets with a set from a low mileage MK2 that had been written off, and it has always had mats over the carpet. . I also put new front discs and pads on it before it's MOT, although they are quite surface rusty now, they are new! I also put new detangoed front indicators in it, and have two genuine replacement wing mirror glasses (Drivers one is cracked currently). It also has the original front lip spoiler fitted. This car in my opinion is far too good to break for parts and should be straight forward to get back on the road.
I started to paint it satin black, but still have the passenger door and rear quarter to do (wanted to replace rear quarter and sill first). The front bumper has had the badge and number plate holes filled. One of the pictures of the N/S show it before it was painted black so you can see it primered where the panel was replaced.
If I didn't have to be selling it I wouldn't! If you have any questions, please ask. Also, if you want to check it on DVLA etc, you have to put the make in as Mazda MX5 Eunos, not just Mazda.
I am moving house on Friday 10th, so need it gone before then! It will need trailering as it has no MOT and is SORN'd
