Hi there, just brought my first classic car, the bloke who i have brought it off has said that he has an old style log book and not a new one
Whats the process in getting a new log book for it? is it easy or am i going to have hassle?
cheers

Should just be a case of sending it off to DVLA as normal, they should have all been changed a couple of years ago but there are still a lot of old ones kicking about

How old a log book is it? I'm not sure about the early 'buff' type but I'm pretty sure anything else you can just fill in and send as normal. I Bought an Astra that was still on an early / mid nineties pink log book, filled it, sent it and had a new V5c in record time. Even taxed it on it, tho the lad behind the counter wondered what the hell it was!

Mechanic's rule #1... If the car works, anything left on the floor after you finished wasn't needed in the first place
