Can anyone help me with this anoying problem with my freelander, the wipers when turned onto intermittent will not make a full sweep of the screen they will do half a sweep then stop mid screen. They are ok on normal and full speed. Any suggestions ? could it be the motor or maybe the switch or something else ?

if the plug is ok on the motor , it may be the park switch on the motor itself.

replace the motor, or take it apart and fix it.

I don't know the wiring on the Freelander, but last time I had that problem it turned out to be the permanent live feed to the wiper motor had failed. It depends how it's wired - some have two live feeds to the motor, a live from the wiper switch and a permanent live that keeps the feeds to the motor until the self-park switch activates. On mine it was that second live cable that had fractured.
On intermittent the relay triggers the motor to start, then the current is cut and the motor continues on it's self-park cycle. So it's either the self-park switch or the live feed for the self-parking.
