Not sure if this is of any interest to anyone on here, but worth a go!
It's a Ford Ka! I've just put it through the MOT. Naturally, it had rust on the underside. It also failed on the exhaust.
A new MOT a couple of weeks later (after I welded it all up), it failed on the exhaust (again), but also rear brake balance.
I swapped the whole exhaust for one without holes, and put new brake shoes in.
The car drives spot on, I'm not a Ford fan, but the Ka's are such a good car to drive, they should be on everyone's 'top 100 cars to drive before you die' list.
This would do as a winter hack, it's in excellent condition other than the variety of welding underneath. The interior is spotless and there are no other faults with the car, and other than the tendency to rust, would probably do many years worth of motoring. It has been completely undersealed by a previous owner.
