Now that will be superb when finished! Whilst on the subject of yet more modeling here is a 'restoration project' I did for a friend of mine. They were a couple of original 1950's Dinky Toy trucks in a very bad state and I restored them to a couple of liveries of firms that operated on the Welsh/Shropshire boarder (as was my friends wish). Good progress! I'm still struggling with pic's of models, generally seems to be much easier if you can do them in good enough light (preferably daylight) that you don't need flash. Also, does your camera have a macro setting? Usually a symbol like a flower, works better close up.
TwincamGTi, was that you who won the Tamiya Civic model recently?

I'm by no means a photography expert, but the best thing I find to do with anything small you want a sharp picture of (like models), place the camera down on a flat surface and let the camera do the hard work for you.

There should be a lil picture of a flower on your camera, thats for when your taking pictures of stuff up close. Try it out.. makes a big old diference

Penski - SNAP! For that picture I used a tripod and a flash setting where there was two flashes [one at the beginning of the exposure, and one at the end of it; with a long pause in between]. The main thing is plenty of light [i.e. direct sunlight] and the macro setting. placing the camera flat on the ground/wall/etc also helps.

Shouldn't we all have something better to do now summer's here?! I've just started this one: Tamiya R30 Skyline, Work Equip alloys by Aoshima. Stance needs sorting! Brochure shot shows they sit high anyway, but not that's not what we want is it?

Thanks!! I cheated a little bit by using a ready built car and just customizing it LOL Lowered the front and "tubbed" the back arches and fitted rear wheels.

Since we are in "retro-time" thought I would dig this out, when I built it believe me it wasn't retro.... based on the "real" GP turbo Beetle of the late 80s. Took quite a lot of rubbing down and filling to get it right...makes me wish I had converted my 1303 back in '85 Oh God I feel really old...Enjoy the pics and never let your model ideas beat you keep trying This arrived in the post this morning, just won't live long enough to build all the model ideas I have
