theres a niggling part of my brain that says it should be 'relatively simple' to connect the output of a bike 'box to a diff (cossie rwd lsd thinger?) via a simple cush drive...
...so mid-mounted longitudally and rwd...

I'd like front engined, front wheel drive, but I'd settle for front engined rear wheel drive

It has arrived, and I love it! And apart from getting it through an MOT, it's staying as it is for the time being! ;D

Snowmobile 1200cc 2 stroke triple FTMFW ;D An 800cc 2 stroke twin will see you the wrong side of 220hp ;D Oh and I know where there is a 500cc inline 4 cylinder 2stroke for sale.....complete with carbs and spannies ;D Thats 500cc and 185hp incase you were wondering ;D I've been looking at bike engines but the drive arrangements scare me a bit. Got any photos of the said engines? Snowmobiles are CVT so the engines just have an output on the end of the crank Search for "Tularis" or "Dr Rob Tulie" to give you some ideas www.macdizzy.com is THE place for 2 stroke tuning discussions but be warned, they don`t tolerate fools and they don`t pull any punches but if you want to learn about mental strokers there is no place finer ;D

Meant to say...... Whats the standard engine - transmission layout then ? Could be as simple as an adaptorplate to change engines and use standard Trans ;D

I heard about the guy in Ashbourne but that was a while ago I assumed he had got rid of everything now? I also don't know how to contact him. I also also seem to have some other mad shizzle projects demanding to be done. And theres an Opus on eBay at the mo for cheap.
But Trabbi needs to be done. Yeah.

hey - congrats on the new trabant Make sure you join the Trabant yahoo group. The English technical guide, I'm currently in the process of making copies in order to pass on to other Trabant owners, but saying that, I've not touched the project for one or two months due to time with work. But keep an eye on www.moleville.co.uk/ Any questions you have, feel free to ask.
