St Christopher's Bromley will hold its second dedicated Classic Car Show on Sunday 21 September at Tripes Farm.
Classic Car Show 2013
An estimated 1,800 people turned up to see the 400 cars, bikes, buses, fire engines and a steam engine on display for the first Car Show in 2013. There were also a few stalls offering delights such as beeswax candles, teddy bears and fruit and veg. Spectators were entertained by fabulous parades in the arena from car clubs such as the Kent Kit Car Club, Paintscrapers (VW’s), the MX5 Club and SERV Kent Blood Bikes.
Hospice supporters Reptile Events came along with their wonderful array of snakes, lizards and more for the children (and adults) to handle. A group of youngsters from The Challenge Network gave their time to run two stalls, which they devised, and to help marshal the event car parking.
Fundraising Manager, Christine Davies said: “We had no idea how many people would come along to this brand new event so we have been amazed at the numbers. Even a little bit of rain didn’t deter people from coming to seen the fabulous exhibits. Early indications are we have raised at least £7,500, amazing! We would like to extend out thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to bringing the event back bigger and better next year!.”
