What is required to bring a vehicle off SORN?
I have just been given a saab 900i (photos later) she is currently on SORN belongs to my wifes aunt who has given up driving. I'm going to be moving her tomorrow, she has MOT what do I need to bring to the post office to get her off SORN?
Thanks in advance David

I'm pretty sure you need a new keepers slip and that's it at the Post office but I'd take the MOT and insurance cover note/certificate (just in case)

You tax it. It's pretty simple. I think the OP realised that - I thought his question was more along the lines of what docs he needed to tax it Of course I could be completely wrong

Tax it? Ok. You need only take the New keeper supplement. The vehicle must be on the database of insurance and MOT. Still simple.

And if it's not on the database That's why I'd take the MOT and Insurance cert with me just in case Having said that the Post Office probably don't even check these days.....

The post office (or at least the computer system) checks if its MOt'd and insured whan you apply for RFL or you can do it on line but the tax disc goes to the registered keeper but from October there will be no paper tax disc to worry about so just do it online. To check if its on the insurance database.......... ownvehicle.askmid.com/To check MOT status and tax....... www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/
