EXTERIOR
Finished in optional Ford Mercury Grey, (Code Q1), this fascinating example still retains its factory paint with an amazing deep gloss shine born from fastidious care, low mileage and presence on the concours scene. The factory panels are pin straight with uniform gaps and only very minor stone chips to the bonnet and a barely detectable ding to the front offside arch extension are worthy of mention. All the trim, rubbers, glass and lens covers are as new and the decals and blue insert remain in pristine condition. The engine bay still has all the Ford labels on the leads and Ford stamps on the hoses, and the underside is very clean. Reproduction dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder further demonstrate attention to detail. A unconditionally preserved example of this iconic hot hatch Ford.

INTERIOR
Perfect in every respect. The interior of this incredible example epitomizes the term factory fresh and will transport any occupant back to a 1990’s Ford showroom, perhaps not literally! The Zolda seat trim in Shadow colour scheme (code LK) retains all fullness with no wear or damage to the fabric. The instrument binnacle, matching door cards and headlining are factory flawless. The carpeting has been protected by four Ford XR2i floor mats from new. The boot area has no lose luggage damage with an unmarked grey carpet. All the instruments, micro-switches and driver controls function correctly. Certain to delight the most discerning, fastidious and excellence seeking collector.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 1.6 EFi fuel injected engine with EEC IV engine management system produces 110bhp at 6000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 2800rpm. Performance credentials of 9.0 seconds to 60mph and a top speed of 119mph enable this classic fiesta to live up to its ‘Fast Ford’ name. The 5-speed transmission works seamlessly with a light and crisp clutch action, just as you would expect from such a low mileage example. Brilliant fun.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Five factory optional 13” alloys wheels remain on the car and are immaculate aside from two miniscule markings left by a balancing weight on the offside. All four road wheels are shod in a quality matching Yokohama 185/60 R13 tyres with masses of tread remaining and the pristine spare wheel retains the original unused Pirelli P600 item. The servo-assisted diagonally split brakes with ventilated 9.5” discs up front and 8”drums at the rear pull the car up quickly and safely.

HISTORY FILE
A fantastic history to provide an insight to the devoted collector ownership this car has enjoyed. Supplied new on 14th February 1991 by Ford Main Dealers Pangbourne Ford of Reading, this example has been with a handful of fastidious and well known collectors. A large history folder provides a complete record of every owner as well as MOT history and masses of service invoices to fully verify the low mileage of just 19,941. A documented recent cambelt change installs further piece of mind for anyone wishing to drive the car to show events!
