I've just been welding up holes associated with my Accords roof weld channels.
Originally these just had a quick wipe over with seam-sealer and a rubber trim-strip pushed into the recess to cover it:
I'm not so sure I want to replace the rubber strips as I'd rather see any problems developing, (& lost the welded-on lugs for retaining the end caps). Not expecting to fill the channel completely, but perhaps a little towards the back to make sure water can drain.
So I wondered if there were any better suggestions for sealing this seam as the traditional brush-on seam seal is horrible to apply neatly, and body filler doesn't seem like a good idea given it's propensity to crack with body movement.
Polyurethane windscreen adhesive perhaps? (still horrible to apply, but at least sets a bit slower).
