I'm just wondering if anyone has ever installed a bike engine in to there car on here?? My and a guy have a plan to instal one in my metro to make it rear wheel drive. He's done the conversion before in his Mk1 Golf. He used a Hayabusa engine. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with other engines and what they performed like?? My plan is to turbo the engine also on a about 6 psi of boost to make one very quick and fun Metro!
Cheers

You planning on keeping it road legal or just as a track toy?
You are bound to get lots of people on here moaning a about IVA and modifying the body shell etc

Haha I am expecting a good moan but also if anyone on here has done it and what it was like... The guy is a pro welder and custom fabricator. So the body will be up to a spec that will pass an mot so to speak and engineering checks.. Track toy but I defo want it road legal!

Not personally any bike engine experience, plenty of Mini's have been converted with a variety of bike engines, worth searching for those builds on Google. Being an Austin Metro surely if you were to choose the 100% legal route and have it re-registered it shouldn't be a big deal as they should comply with almost all of the construction and use requirements in standard form. If it was built to a high standard as you state there shouldn't be any worries at all. Have a read of this link
