10 Months MOT, 4 Months Tax
One of 47 ever made
Due to spiralling costs of house work and running four classics, something has to give and I have to sell my Wedge. I have spent a small fortune on this car in the last 6 months and countless hours to get it to a roadworthy condition, but unfortunately it has just burnt out some of its ignition wiring and I no longer have any time, money or enthusiasm to spend on it.
It was working well up until this week and I have done a good 400 miles in it since its MOT. The engine sounds great and pulls strongly, it handles great and it was running very reliably.
The car benefits from:
-Lots of service history
-Recently rebuilt gearbox
-Brand new clutch kit
-Full stainless steel exhaust
-Four good tyres
-Fully serviced and checked over engine (was running fantastically until the ignition issue)
-Undamaged glass all round
-Great condition seats
Negative points:
-Does not run at the moment due to wiring fault
-Paintwork is very oxidised and cracks around the body
-Carpets faded, headlining saggy and wood veneer cracking
-Some of the gauges not working (earthing fault?)
Overall this is a very untidy Wedge but a good basis for rolling restoration work once it is back up and running again. It is a real hoot to drive and I will be sad to see it go.
