After what happened with the fire I needed a new project & something different, so here it is (sorry its not a Bmw). :lol: Right guys this is my new project that I picked up last weekend after agreeing a price with the old owner the week before. Lots of plans including fully re-painting the whole in white, air ride & possibly a set of split rims, also will be running white walls on the original wheels. Last night picking the car up. Thats really nice - especially like the red interior. Get that LPG filler moved out of sight though, i'de have been livid if someone had fitted on there on my car

What about putting another fuel flap at the other side of the number plate and mounting it behind that? Or underneath - Polish style?

Its been a while but here is a small update. Car went in for its Mot which uncovered a lot of work that needed doing just to get it on the road which I did expect but not quite so much. First was some nice new split rims that I wanted before anyone else did on one of these W114.  IMG_9510 by Ian Woodridge, on Flickr Mercedes Barock wheels made into 3 piece splits.  IMG_9511 by Ian Woodridge, on Flickr  IMG_9411 by Ian Woodridge, on Flickr Test fitting showed that I would need to space out quite a lot so I ordered these H&R 30mm spacers.  IMG_9520 by Ian Woodridge, on Flickr These were perfect for the fronts but will need bigger ones for the rear which I will order once the airride has been fitted just in case I go out to far.
