Instead of spending all Monday miffed about the ace shows the rest of you visited and have posted pic's from, for once I can join in the fun! I thought it was just going to be a 'local show', but a fair bit of stuff there and bumped into one or two familiar faces, and made a new friend. Weather not the greatest and probably affected turnout, but I'll make sure I attend next year in something suitably old. VEHICLE OF THE SHOW! For me anyway. Ebay watchers will remember it being sold there for a decent amount, this guy bought it. Bought it here on a trailer from Oxford way, nice one! Had a long chat with him, he was up for bringing it to the Japanese Nostalgia bash at Billing. Super-bright Thames a stallholder's. For Dollywobbler. It sold crepes, they tasted good. From now on you can work the rest out, it's late... My 3yr old daughter gives some idea of scale here... Crayford's cool, but saloon still nicer IMO. Nicest American iron of the day for me. LOM-tastic! I want to be like this. Daughter liked this one. Sigh... Ah, the collective disappointment at not being able to get the deckchairs out. More to come tomorrow night. For now, I'll leave you with this shot of a recently married R-Rer, clearly settled into a pleasant life of visiting country shows and admiring stationary engines

That pick-up is beautiful. Looks much better than it did on eBay.

"give me half an hour and il have the juice sorted on it". ;D Damn you SL. Actually, with respect to the lovely Mrs Utterpiffle, she did a bloody good job of pretending to be interested. No point in me posting any pictures, as they are all exactly the same as SL's. Good day out though. Will certainly attend again next year. I was suprised how well the Benz was recieved. Normally at these old duffer shows, there are lots of old white beards shaking slowly in disapproval. At one point I was talking to a bunch of very interested and interesting 60-somethings for ages. Only managed to break one piece off the bumper whilst hopping on my way out, so we'll put that down as a success then...

LOM-tastic! Yes, this show is annual - I damn well forgot about it! That Mk3 Cortina is used in the last episode of LOM in the alley driving scene as stand-in for the normal one - they drove it like it was stolen and well and truly p*ss*d off the owners.
