Welcome to the sale of my 840ci.
It has a been a childhood dream to own one of these and now I can tick it off my list. However, I currently own two other BMW's and with working away from home I do not have the time to enjoy her fully anymore, I have only done 3084 miles in the last year.
Despite being a powerful large-engined car it is surprisingly cheap to insure - I am 35 and only pay £160 per year with a 5k mile limit.
This, as you know, is a rare car and it's stunning looks combined with a raucous exhaust note certainly turns heads!
Very well looked after car - thousands spent, lots of history and stamps in service book.
192k miles with full service history.
Recent new gearbox (replaced at 170,341k), BMW-fitted new front wings and nose cone, timing chain and tensioner done at 180,605k, diff oil at 182,659k (all previous owner).
Stainless steel rear silencers.
In the last year:
Two brand new cats.
New rear trailing arms (with Powerflex bushes), front lower arms, front upper thrust arms and rear upper wishbones.
New rocker cover gaskets and K&N panel filter.
New Bilstein B12 shocks with AC Schnitzer springs .
New brake lines, Goodrich stainless steel braided hoses.
Rebuilt wiper linkage with new bushes.
Pioneer head unit
BMW BBS Staggered Style 5 alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round.
12 Months MOT - till August 19th 2015. Taxed until 31st October.
Although the bodywork is very clean for the year, there are a couple of small patches of corrosion on the sunroof panel from stone chips. If I were keeping the car, paintwork would be the next job on the list but it is more than presentable as is.
Viewing is recommended and encouraged!
Weekends are best although viewing weekday evenings can be arranged.
