Looking for help with a poor old 1985 Nissan/Datsun Sunny

your knocking problem on turning corners is easy to diagnose it will be the cv joint in need of changing or maybe just a worn bush, do both sides as you can bet your last pound if you change one the other will start to knock the week after lol, the pinking or tappet problem could be a bit harder to solve but you say you thought it sounded like an exhaust blow ? as most people just stick their heads under the back to see if its the exhaust they miss the obvious manifold gasket, check that and any gasket coming from the manifold to the down pipe,remember as steel gets hot it expands so might not be so obvious if the engine is cold, sexual favours ?
