I'm just wondering how many people have odd sets or single wheels sitting around which they refuse to part with like me. I guess mainly happens to older wheels that end up damaged etc. I'm not looking at trading, purely interested if there are any gypo wheels hoarders like me Amongst other tat, my favourite has been a single SSR Casablanca which came as a donor wheel for some Longchamp XR4s I bought about 5+ years ago. Currently hanging on the wall and has been since I got it. Never seen another in the flesh before. (libary pic)

I have three Performance Challengers left over from my Beetle after destroying one in a crash. 14x6" and locally made in South Australia. I think mine would be a 1970s set, but they're still in production now!

Currently no photo, sorry, but we've got a random/spare Ferrari wheel from a 308 at Area 52.
Ben bought a set of three off eBay cheap in the hope of picking up a fourth cheap too and making a set for his Volvo. Except when they turned up they were so porous and pitted they'd be unsafe for use on a car.
Two went off with people to be used as hose reels, the third is still at the unit but we don't have a hose, so it just hangs around, being moved from place to place.
It's kind of in the way, but also part of the furniture now.

Unsurprisingly, I have at least a dozen. But, they're all semi-desirable steels rather than alloys, mostly early postwar/pre War ford.

It can get to be such an acute affliction that you even end up hoarding wheels that not only do you not own a car with the correct PCD for, you've never owned a car with the correct PCD for. Becos, y'know, maybe one day.... I don't need fewer wheels, I need a bigger garage

I once owned an E36, had it a week then gave it away... not sure why :/ The wheels have been sitting in a pile somewhere... in fact I'm not sure I've even touched the wheels since buying them online. Rob?

I have three of these: Impossible to find Fondmetal split rims. I bought 4, 4 were shipped, 3 arrived. La Poste found stupid excuses not to do anything about it (not even look for it). That's 200 euros wasted.

I've got one ultralightweight magnesium Minilite left over from my Mk1 RS2000 rally car from the 1990's. I had several tatty mag Minilites and Ian Jemison in York did a fantastic job of repairing them and I used them without any problems. This one was a racing version and was just too fragile to use for rallying so it got hung on the wall.... Car is long gone - rolled into the trees on the Hunsruck Rally; I've got a picture somewhere of the car on the flying several feet in the air over one of the crests!

Rob? Har, the wheels are in a neat pile next to some japanese scrap cars. They looked awesome on my old E36 touring I had a stray wheel, a nice OEM BBS RC 041 2 piecer (not my wheel in the picture but the same type) It was E36 derived so poor high offset and no use to me, it was in fantastic condition though, so I turned it into a BBQ Burning off the lacquer was the hardest part. Underneath sits a bent E30 OEM 15" BBS, they fold into each other nicely for a travel RRG BBQ.

I have a pair of Wolfrace Octane 15"s that are both NOS. And different PCD. Also the last two Wolfrace Takata 17"s in grey and red in the UK, cannot find another two, they're 5x100. And the only single wheel I actually intended to buy as a single, a magnesium multispoke Skoda 130LR works rally wheel. As seen here:

I've got a couple of odd ones.... But turned them into tables... Oz chronos... They were my favorite wheel from the 90s. When I finally got a gtfour I got a set... Then another set turned up on eBay , got them cheap as a pair were slightly buckled . Bit of sealer to stick em together, glass top.. Also have a single. Oz f1 wheel. Another table
