Hi guys, you know that stuff you can get that boasts to kill rust?
you just lap it on over the rubbed back surface rust and then paint over it?
Well, does it work? is it actually any good?
and if it is, which brand would you use?

Used jenolite and karust , not sure if they work over time but makes me feel better!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I've used Jenolite in the past, it works, but now I'll always cut out the rust and replace with new metal. It's a bit like getting a small Dutch boy to stick his finger in a hole......I'm not saying Dyke.

kurust really does work. i tend to clean it off before i prime up though.
if not, a bit of bicarbonate soda or whatever it is you use on exhausts does the trick

Thats a good link. I`m gonna nip round to sainsbury`s at Jacksons next door, where sadly I reckon a bottle of cheap vinegar could cost up to 28p.
Jenolite is pretty good stuff. For very small rust spots, a good vimming will either make it disappear or turn it into a little black dot.

Rust never sleeps.
Jenolite and Kurust are OK IMO, but best to get all the rust out/off by mechanical means really. If you go through, then replace with new metal.
