I know nowt about pinstriping, just popped in to say nice to see your car the other day near the Mining Museum! See your car around town quite often but never had the pleasure of seeing it while on a drive.
As for pinstriping, I think on a car like yours it would still be cool but would need to be quite a subtle one! Maybe top of bootlid?

I think considering the limited space around the bootlock itself, you'll need to spill onto the bootlid for a really balanced design. It's a pity you're in Yorkshire, otherwise I'd offer to do it for you!

just get it done, dark blue and white would be my suggestion as it wouldnt be too obvious but would be noticable upclose.

I can have a go at doing something in vinyl if you like, it'll never be the real thing but might help you decide on the look. Let me know the diameter of the lock and i'll knock something up, it will fit in an area about the size of a peice of A4 paper in landscape.

how about some small tiki like characters around each of the F-O-R-D letters? I would hesitate to put too much vertical accent around the bootlock, maybe sqaush it out like ET's head and go for a horizontal based stripe session. like a pinstriped flying eyeball design- maybe a larger design between the vents under the rear window? would be pretty cool IMO

Beat me to it. Melissa Gee is local(ish) for you and her work is superb. Other people I'd suggest are a bit more down south.
