A couple of years ago I had this great idea, 'take my ailing E30 325iS and stick a crate v8 in it'. I measured things and thought about it a while then crashed the E30 heavily into the scenery, destroying the shell and writing off any hopes I had of a conversion. However, I am still fascinated with the idea of 'sticking a v8 under the hood' Here are a few examples that have been at Cars and Coffee recently..... Lovely old Datsun insanely loud Porky Wonderful Mazda Makes me want to get another E30 (not going to happen)

That Porsche is great Seems LS7/1 conversions in RX7s are really taking off in the states, probably makes more sense than another set of rotor tips......

The LS7 comes into convo at work on a daily basis, as my boss is after the 700BHP version for the ultima. Seems a sweet motor not badly priced on the second hand market too!

best sleeper in this country (IMO) is this capri- and under the bonnet- 5-0 efi with a t5 behind it 70mm exhaust finishes just before the axle, stock 2 litre back box just hung for show as for the e30, you could keep it in the family with an m60 lump- its a tight fit (in the jungle, a wib a wumb a way!!!) buut they're lighter and seem to rev better than a yankee lump. the engine pictured is in-

I've seen an LS1 powered E30 so it can be done.
Not sure about LS7s on the used market, if you know different tell mew where? I know theres a good number of LS1s out there, LQ4s and even LS6 and some LS2 comeing to the used market but the LS7 is only used in the current Z06 Corvette or as a crate package. Unless you consider $10K plus shipping and taxes a great deal. Well, for what you get maybe it is...
