It is with regret that I will be placing my much loved Opel Monza GSE rally replica up for sale. I have owned this Monza for over 16 years so is part of the family!
The car is a 1984 5 speed manual. The original spec was the usual electric windows with electric sunroof, both of which are still fitted and working. The original air con has been removed.
Interior wise the interior including the carpets has been removed as you can see. It is fitted with Cobra Monaco Pro race bucket seats alongside two Cobra 5 point harness's. Push start/engine kill switch. A Terratrip rally timer (Not set up) Momo steering wheel and passenger alloy foot plate. Original digital working dash. There is a partial FIA roll cage with rear strut brace and the key ignition barrel was removed.
The exterior was vinyl wrapped a number of years ago in the Vauxhall-Opel race/rally colour scheme. Some of the lettering is a little flaky etc but in very good shape considering how long it has been the car. The bonnet also has bonnet pins in place and front and rear rally mud flaps fitted.
Both front and rear bumpers have been removed and Lucas spotlights have been fitted.
Almost new 15" original Compomotive alloys shed with almost brand new tyres.
The engine runs extremely well and a new clutch has recently been fitted including a recent battery. There is also a full stainless steel exhaust.
The brakes have been upgraded including EBC pads alongside lower springs and adjustable GAZ shock absorbers. Some of the bushes have been replaced with Superfex poly bushes.
There is some cosmetic minor rust blemishes and scratches here and there but absolutely no rot or corrosion in the usual place of the inner front arches. They have been replaced some years ago including brand new front outer wings. The picture of the engine bay shows waxoil around these usual problem areas.
I have a massive folder with the car stretching many years with hundreds of receipts and invoices showing sadly how much money has been spent on the car!
