,I'm after some rear calipers for my bmw, they need to have the cable handbrake, and they need to work well.
They are 272mm solids.
Sierra maybe, but to they work ok with a cable handbrake?

Why not use BMW calipers ? Mini items are cheap.

thats interesting then i wonder if the mounts are the same!
i know sierra ones fit as a friend of mine has them on his car, but he had to weld new mounts on. I don't know if itll handbrake well with the cable set up.
This is because the car has ABS, its a rally car, and if i brake, and pull the handbrake even a tiny bit it locks the rears on, and then you have to play with the handbrake to get it off./.

as i say it gets the abs confused and it locks the rear brakes on hydrolically.

Some rally cars still need to hold an MOT. As long as the cable handbrake is still fitted and working, it will pass an mot with a hydraulic handbrake.

no i fitted the abs to go rallying its the best thing you will ever do to a rally car on tarmac, its not normal abs, its special abs.
but with out abs, when you brake you cant pull the handbrake, he system is hydrolically locked, so you coe to a corner, brake, light pressure on teh bar, and as soon as you lift off bar comes up and the car goes around.
Now its very hard to guage, foot off brake and pulling the bar. If you pull the bar when braking, it thinks something is goign wrong with the rear brakes, pressurises the handbrake cylinder and the rear brakes lock on.
with the vcable it cant do that, or maybe ill have to fit very small extra calipers and a seperate HD bar system
