We have trialled it on a few threads as a way to keep the general section moving, without deleting threads that are either a) borderline irrelevant or b) sort of in the wrong section, but not enough to warrant moving them, so the anchor is "falling", ie replies don't bump the post back up, people can have the discussion, and not get pissy when their post is moved or deleted, but we get a general section that is mainly about interesting things about older modified cars. In the case of the one you linked it was thought that the thread was a bit light on actual content and the original post was basically "look at me aren't I wacky for liking this car"... which frankly a lot of people like. Also the OP described one of the quintessential Harris Mann wedges as 'boxy' which is a sin in and of itself Still not sold on the functionality to be honest, I'd rather just delete or move posts.

Ahh! Thank you for that - I agree with the Harris Mann bit, The anchor (for me) Just looks like a slow death, If you are going to continue with it, put a 24 hour time on it- If no better content appears after 24 hours it disappears. Just a thought!
