Cheap for a low miler! I like the look of these, and I think the ever-so-slightly wide steels help

I'm getting old, and my dad had one the same colour. I don't like rust or talking to recovery drivers (even though they're not all dickheads who think Saab and Volvo are the same company) so maybe that's why I don't want it. Mind you I also don't like traders who try and get out of their legal obligations and sell as seen. If you don't want to stand by the car sell it into the trade or via an auction

I'm 28 so I don't think I'm old yet Nope, neither Dad nor Grandads had one I know a couple of recovery drivers but standing at the side of the road doesn't sound appealing at all! I hate rust!

Is it broken or did they come with an awesome dragster style rake as standard?

I seem to remember my dad's had rake, but maybe not as much as that. I remember he came back from the dealers, and my reaction was why? He said it was between the Austin and a MK5 Cortina, and he didn't like Fords. Two engines later the dealer agreed to take it back and swap it. So what did my dad come back with? Another Ambassador!

The only thing wrong with you is that you haven't bought it. Yet!
Does look a little too 'nose down ass up', so could be hiding suspension issues, but still, it does 'look' tidy

nose down is normally indicative of just needing a pump up, not too difficult to achieve. That one's been doing the rounds and, from what I've heard of it, it is a good one. Price a little high, perhaps, but prices on these are steadily climbing as are all BL things.
Big, practical, frugal, not fantastically good looking and that one is a fairly rare spec to find now as it doesn't have the usual black interior. Quite a late model too, they only made these for a handful of years so survivors are few and far between.
Not exactly fast, but the O series is tunable and while parts aren't exactly off the shelf, there are options available. Have a look and have a sit, if you want a comfy cruiser this is one of the comfiest there is.

For the money that looks cracking, would make a cool standard retro daily or an amazing base for a project. That dropped on some SSR mk2...... Oh my!

Maybe there cos it kinda sums up the boat like characteristics of the ambassador Have fond memories of these can remember my dads before he bought a maxi The joys of being a 7 yr old watching your dad underneath car fixing snapped exhaustt with a bean can and some wire lol Stuck In middle of bobby Scotland somewhere haha
And have to say that looks very tidy example my dads didn't even look that clean and his wasn't far off brand new
His was a weird purple colour tho from memory
