Here for sale I have my 1985 Saab 900 Tjugofem.
In 1985 the 'Tjugofem' (means 25 in Swedish) Saloon was released in a batch of 300 to celebrate SAABs 25th year in the UK. These had the 1985cc 8-Valve engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. Interior trim was blue turbo velour with a special gear knob with the cars number. Exterior the model was a standard non-turbo apart from alloy wheels, Tjugofem pinstriping and Turbo style rear spoiler. This is Number 266 of 300. Being a 1985 model means it is a 'flat front' and the hand brake operates on the front wheels.
The car has benefited from a recent water pump and I am just awaiting on all the parts to carry out a thorough service. It's covered a mere 91,000 miles, curse word all for a Saab of any year, never mind a 29 year old one! Comes with 11 months MOT and Tax until the end of the month.
Structurally the car is solid both on top and underneath, the bottom of each door being a bit scabby, cosmetically it is let down by some trim bits that could do with a re paint in silver and some small surface rust areas where the car has previously been sat un-cleaned. Interior although in mostly decent condition has the typical Saab head lining, a manual sunroof, a non functioning heater valve (common fault) and a non working drivers window.
I think I've been quite negative about the cars description, but in all honesty it is a joy to drive and I love the look of the thing. I used it for me and my fiance' to move in to our new house just a few weeks back. That saw us load the car up to the roof and drive 100 miles with absolute no bother. I had plans for all the little jobs that needed doing, including a black and white tartan headlining, re painting the trim, suede covering the dash, spot lights, LPG conversion but an old car of mine I should never have sold has just come up for sale and I'm buying it back!
Anyway, heres the pics!
Up until Friday I will be in Benson between Oxford/Reading then I shall be home in Wincanton, Somerset. Viewings welcome, feel free to ask me any questions either via PM or on 07806778592.
Many thanks, Adam
