I've been round all the parts of the circuit that are open to the public. I started at Tertre Rouge, went down the Mulsanne (I didn't reach 240 mph ), round Mulsanne corner, through Indianapolis and Arnage, then up through Maison Blanche (where the Porsche curves are below). They should so bin off the Porsche curves with their FIA mandated run offs and crash barriers and put Maison blanche back in. It was exciting enough in a road car at about 40 It was a huge amount of fun! I didn't realise how much i would get excited - I haven't stopped grinning yet We're going back tomorrow to do it agin with the camera.

Woah!
I'm starting to suspect that Autohausdolby is actually 5 different people using the same username. How is it possible for one person to find enough time to do a Mk1 Golf 16v install, work on various other projects, hold down a full-time job AND drive around Le Mans?! ;D ;D ;D

Must have been an awesome experience! I'd love to hammer around a track sometime. Me and my mate went around Donnington circuit on our mountain bikes during Americana when we were about 15.... they sent the Jag pace car after us and we promptly got escorted out of the show. Was worth it though!

I'm here to pic up Mrs Autohausdolby who has been at uni for the last academic year. We're back in June for the 24 This is the last chance I'll get to drive around without the huuuuuuuuuge traffic jams you get when the 24 is on so I want to take full advantage of it

Lolz! I'm here to pic up Mrs Autohausdolby who has been at uni for the last academic year. We're back in June for the 24 This is the last chance I'll get to drive around without the huuuuuuuuuge traffic jams you get when the 24 is on so I want to take full advantage of it WHS. ;D I've been living out here since September, but carless, so today was the first time I've been able to go round all the track that's open to the public - although we did get a run down les Hunaudières in my mate's Fiat seicento! It's my birthday the weekend of the 24, so I fully expect anyone that's going to be there to help me celebrate! ;D Drop me a PM for my French mobile number. Plus, I know a couple of good bars round here! ;D

The Restaurant on the Mulsanne: Playstation Chicane (boooooo! they should get rid of the chicanes) More Mulsanne: Bridge near Mulsanne corner (this normally has ahuge Audi advert on it- they've started putting up the new ones but haven't got this far yet) My favourite video of the day Going through the Esses near Indianapolis corner in the Polo. It's a shame the sound isn't better quality cus the Polo sounds cool going down and up through the box Here's Indianapolis during the 1999 race with an Oreca Dodge Viper, (correction) an Audi R8C and another prototype going round it.

Run down the last part of the Mulsanne past the Michelin Chicane: And then back along the "bottom" of the circuit from Arnage, past Maison Blanche and up towards the pit straight. The public road now passes behind the stands as the section going up to the Dunlop curves is all permanent circuit now. The approach to Maison Blanche in 1970 for comparison In this aerial photo you can see how the road is meant to carry on from Maison Blanche up to the pit straight - the old Mobil 1 stand now stands over the original entrance to the Ford Chicane.

After Last years "Classic" Le Mans 24 there was some event involving 22 grown men chasing a round object about...... For some strange reason this meant that the cirucit (all of it was empty of security and any staff) In fact it appeared everyone who was French dissappeared!!!! Complete circuit (apart from the grandstand straight) was empty I had my Monza fueled up ready for the trip home the following day....... It would have been rude not to!!! ;D Few others here www.photobox.co.uk/album/3462743One of those things that just has to be done and a memory of it will never fade

Haha! Good work sir And the same with regard to your jaunt round the circuit - it's definately one of thos must do things PS - It blows your mind to think how quick those cars go down the Mulsane straight as you are driving down it doesn't it?

Yep I'm hoping to get to about 150 in my 914 on there when it's done if I can find the correct Le Mans gear ratio set for it

Oh yea, and all the books say that the kink is barely noticable in a street car - that's cobblers! It's really pronounced
