Bonjour.
So, I love this car. More than myself. Which is a lot. I wanted to get a stock LS400 and prove that you can make even the ugliest of cars look cool by smashing it into the floor and sticking wheels on it.
It's got 12 months MOT, 2ish months tax. 4.0 V8 in 260bhp flavour. It's got a legit K&N filter and erm... lightened exhausts. Got through the MOT like it, so win! Sounds awesome at full chat, but still quiet on idle and normal driving.
18" wheels, 8ishj on the front and 9.5j on the rear. 5mm slip on spacers on the front and 25mm hubscentrics on the rear. All new wheel nuts for the many different bits, because I don't trust the old ones.
BC coilovers for uber lows. They ride beautifully and cost me an arm and a leg.
Bad bits:
The fuel gauge doesn't work. The dash is good, so I'm guessing it's the sender. I just keep brimming it. Win.
It kind knocks going over big, sunk in drains and large bumps. Apparently it's a feature of lowered Lexiiii. The arms hit something somewhere. I don't know. I just don't drive into massive dips.
I broke the aerial on a bush. It got stuck, I drove off, it broke. The 6 cd changer works though and the sound system is actually incredible. Speakers everywhere with a small sub in the back. All standard.
Someone's clearly done a home repair on the paint on the rear drivers side door. It's a bit flat. And the central locking doesn't work on that door.
However, it's just had a recent service; new plugs, fluids and filters.
Observe:
Clearly, you can all be the judge of the coolness, but it does have an awesome presence on the road:
